The settlement of Brela, formerly known as Donja Brela, is located at the foot of the Biokovo mountain, 7 km in length along the Adriatic highway, from Vrulja in Zadvarje municipality in the west to Baška Voda municipality in the southeast. It consists of several hamlets on both sides of the highway, the largest of which are Soline and Donje selo.
